
The OPA are looking to appoint a Commercial Manager, to manage the commercial and procurement activities for their Major Projects, ensuring the provision of goods, services, and works, within the public procurement regulations required are provided effectively, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
The Commercial Manager is a key role in the commercial function at the OPA, who’s role is to manage the procurement and commercial contract requirements, and to support the delivery of engineering projects, managed by Major Projects from conception to completion, that are undertaken in a high hazardous regulated environment, CoMAH or equivalent. Projects can be UK based or overseas. There is a strong focus on collaboration across OPA business units, as well as external stakeholders, to get procurement programmes right from the start, to lay the foundation from successful execution to delivery. Ideally based at Gosport, other locations can be considered as we have OPA sites in England & Scotland, with options for hybrid working. As some occasional travel to other sites may be required, candidates will need to have a full (preferably clean) driving licence.
